GoToMeeting for iPad (and other tablets)

August 1, 2012 Timothy Mobile Apps

During a recent Arkansas SBTDC webinar, an individual attempted to log in to GoToMeeting using an iPad tablet and the Safari web browser. While the website displayed the webinar details and registration screens well, I was not wholly surprised to find the attendee panel failed to launch. I have since researched the issue and discovered that GoToMeeting does support the iPad via a free iStore app.

The GoToMeeting app for iPad and iPhone allows one to:

  • Attend online meetings or webinars free of charge.
  • Join sessions in seconds by tapping the Join link in your invitation email.
  • View the presenter’s screen.
  • See who’s talking and who’s attending.
  • See up to 6 meeting participants with HDFaces video on iPad.

Android device owners should note there is also a free GoToMeeting app for Android. A few caveats include having Android 2.2 or higher and having a 1Ghz processor or higher for optimal performance. The GoToMeeting app for Android is available from both Google and Amazon.
