Evernote for Training

July 1, 2014 Timothy Mobile Apps

I recently returned from mLearnCon 2014 where I discovered a novel use for the popular Evernote app: Training! Evernote is ideal for quickly developing short visual aids for common tasks. Here’s how to get started.

First, take a photo of each step in the task. Then import the photos into Evernote in the task sequence.

Second, add a brief text note below each photo describing that step in the task. Consider numbering each step at the beginning of the text note.

Third, add a check box to each step by positioning your cursor and tapping the check box icon.

Finally save and share the Evernote URL with others.

You can use Evernote to create short training aids for everything from changing the toner cartridge in the copier to how to check in inventory. Use the comments below and tell us what training you created with Evernote.
